Welcome to the Rees-Jones Family Web Page.  On this site, we invite you to explore the lifestyle we have chosen to pursue...Living Simply. Please note, this website is permanently under construction!

Since 2003, our family has embraced the concept of breaking way from a traditional suburban lifestyle in order to experience each day more fully.  We have done this first by selling up our city lifestyle and sailing off to adventures on the ocean.  After two years on our beloved sailboat 'Yamana', we chose to try another new lifestyle, that of living in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Yamana sailed on with her new owners Pete and Alice for 3 years, arriving in New Zealand in late 2008, where they too have moved ashore to try life down under. Go to www.oceanfamily.net for their latest adventures. UPDATE: Yamana has just been sold to new owners May 2009, an English couple living in NZ, who intend to carry on cruising.

We hope this will inspire some of you to seize the moment and do what you want to do, because at the end of it all, life is not a dress rehearsal, you only get one shot at it, so please make it count!  Both of us have a parent who died young, with unfinished goals and aspirations, so we decided to simply try to do it all, before we, as they say in New Zealand, "fall off the twig"!
